Welcome To Our Blog!

We welcome your feed back/comments on our Hostel in Tulum. Please remember that this is a third world country and although we have come very far in a short period that we still do not have access to many things that countries like the USA, England, France,... have access too, including advanced education.  for example: many women over 33 can not read, many Mexicans still have dirt floors in their homes although many have upgraded to cement, most children and single adults sleep in hammocks, many Mexicans still cook outside and most mexicans do not have refridgerators. Please note I have said many and most, not all. The larger the city ,the more we have access to and in most cases the richer we are, therefore better education and better housing. Please tell us if you enjoyedthe Mayan style of our Hostel as we are Mayan descent and this part of Mexico is visited for the Mayan Ruins and Beautiful Beaches we wanted to incorporate the Mayan flavor into our Hostel and even asked the Elder Family Mayan Matriarc to stay to add the Mayan flavor to the garden including the Mayan TeMascal Ceremony.  Please feel free to give some simple suggestions for improvement that may be passed on to the Mayan Manager, Elda Lucia Vera. Or feel free to discuss them at the Hostel with Eric Vera, the owners son who is Bi-Lingual in English and Spanish (He is a Mexican-American). Thank You!  Elisabet, Technical Administrator and Webmaster of Casa Del Sol Hostels.
